The InfraGard National Members Alliance Cyber Camp Program ("Cyber Camp in a Box") utilizes resources from within the local IT and security community, local InfraGard chapters, and when available, local FBI field offices, to host a five-day cyber camp program focused on high school students.
The program is a framework that provides local chapters with guidance and an operational play book for best practices to run an InfraGard National Members Alliance-affiliated cyber camp while allowing chapters to focus on specific instruction and content most relevant to their local community and instructor availability.
The camp is designed for students between the 9th and 12th grades and provides introductory through intermediate instruction in cyber security (and related) fields. The intent of the camp is to provide students an avenue for positive exposure to cyber security to spark new, or further develop interest in the field which may lead to additional opportunities, and ultimately, careers in cyber security and related fields.
During the week, camps using the pre-build scenario utilize a set of videos as a foundation to take students through a cyber theft scenario at a drone manufacturing company. The video content is specifically crafted to allow inclusion of a variety of interactive and classroom instruction relevant to the security. The video storyline concludes (where feasible) with a live take down of a suspected bad guy.
Finally, rounding out the week, students are encouraged to put skills they have learned through the course of the week to the test in a head-to-head team based Capture-The-Flag (CTF) competition on the final day of the week
