Seniors are increasingly being targeted by scammers for financial gain. According to the FBI, less than 5% of elder fraud incidents are reported. This outreach event is part of a broader initiative to inform, engage, and equip families and elders with knowledge and resources to protect themselves against these scams. The session will cover common schemes such as Romance Scams, Tech Support Scams, Advanced Fee Scams, and Government Impersonation Scams. A compelling case study will illustrate how a romance scam can exploit business vulnerabilities, leading to business email compromise.
