Peter Debbins was a U.S. Army Officer and Green Beret who decided to betray his country and conspire with Russian Intelligence Officers to provide them with national defense information. As a result of his betrayal, Debbins was sentenced to 188 months in prison. During this webinar, Case Agent Jeffrey Parsons from the FBI’s Washington Field Office will present an investigative summary that includes: a timeline of Debbins’ conspiracy with Russian Intelligence; tradecraft utilized in handling Debbins; motivations for Debbins’ cooperation with Russian Intelligence; missed opportunities to identify Debbin’s betrayal.
