NUARI: Cyber and Emergency Preparedness Exercises. Since 2009, DHS Science & Technology Directorate has invested roughly $35 million into a unique simulation environment called, The DECIDE® Platform. It was created specifically for Critical Infrastructure companies and organizations. It has been a trusted solution for more than a decade with funding from DHS to execute no-cost exercises starting with the Financial Services, Energy, and Transportation sectors. Speaker Tim Herman will talk about the importance of Cyber and Emergency Preparedness Exercises, walk through NUARI’s journey in creating the DECIDE® Platform with DHS Science & Technology Directorate funding, share NUARI’s exercise experiences, show the DECIDE® Platform works, share best practices, and show how NUARI is helping multiple Critical Infrastructure Sectors prepare for incidents. Tim will share NUARI’s exercise experiences and how NUARI is helping critical infrastructure organizations prepare for cyber incidents and build resiliency.

Tim Herman, Cyber Security Outreach Advisor for (NUARI)
Tim currently serves as President of MN InfraGard Member Alliance, serves on the MN Cyber Security Summit 2022 Think Tank Advisory Board and served for Three years on the MN ISSA Board. Tim has spent the last Six years working for an MSP, an ICS/OT/IoT Engineering Firm, and now with critical infrastructure companies with NUARI.
