The FBI’s Counterintelligence Division relies on partnerships in the private sector to raise public awareness and inform industry leaders on rising national security threats, to expose and prevent intelligence activities in the U.S. While the FBI continues to neutralize threats from foreign intelligence services, its modern-day mission is much broader.
FBI Special Agent Marcelle Valenzuela will provide an overview of the FBI Los Angeles Counterintelligence and Strategic Partnership (CISP) program. SA Valenzuela will present on countering threats emanating from hostile foreign governments who seek to harm our nation’s economic, diplomatic, and military interests, primarily through the theft of U.S. innovation and technology. SA Valenzuela’s presentation will cover recent cases and how these foreign governments have developed non-traditional collectors and insider threats at U.S. companies.
FBI Intelligence Analyst Forrest Campbell will examine how the FBI’s partnerships with the private sector, assist in countering these threats by collaborating with the intelligence community at large.
