IMA Webinar: InfraGard Nevada: Electric Vehicle Fire and Risk to Critical Infrastructure (online)

October 9 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am PDT

Our 3Q chapter meeting will focus on electric vehicles (EVs) and the risks when a lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery, typical in EVs, catches fire.
Li-ion battery fires burn very hot and emit toxic gases. These fires present new and unique challenges to personal and property safety. During this presentation, you will learn how car manufacturers design electric vehicle (EV) battery packs with safety in mind, the risks associated with a Li-ion thermal runaway, and tactics to minimize risk to personnel and property. Additionally, potential concerns for the use of compromised EVs as a threat to CIKR sectors will be discussed.

Presenter:
Clark Lamping, Captain, Clark County Fire Department

Who Can Attend:
