The presentation will review the evolving landscape of cyber threats with a focus on ransomware. In recent years, ransomware has changed from an obscure new way of monetizing computer intrusions to a serious threat to the country’s businesses, the private information of citizens and consumers, and the country’s critical infrastructure.

Nicholas Bludworth, Special Agent, FBI
FBI Special Agent Nicholas Bludworth is currently assigned to the Houston Field Office Cyber Task Force. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, and he is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
